VISU

Graduation Project

1. Case study

1 out of 10 children in primary school has a fear of failure. From the research, I created the question, “How can we help primary school children on days without failure anxiety training?”

2. Result

VISU is a VR application that helps children overcome their fear of failure. By using the exposure therapy technique into the program, VISU brings a classroom to life to train with a child. The application is a sidekick for aid-organizations that already train with children.

3. Experience

Children with a fear of failure will experience events that they are afraid of. By doing this, the change that children will overcome it will be significate higher as it happens playfully that is monitored by experts in the field.

This project contains a research phase with the subject of how to help children with failure anxiety. With concepts that were translated into paper - and low fidelity prototypes, a real high fidelity prototype could be developed and tested.
Why this project was unique for me is because this was the first time that I build a VR prototype. It showed that it really could work and why it would work.
